You may not have heard of The Witcher Remake’s developers - Fool's Theory. I’m not expecting Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth changes, but it would be nice, considering there’s a component of time travel in The Witcher. I just hope there are few surprises for those that have played the original as well. We don’t have any information on The Witcher Remake just yet, but there are a few twists and turns in the original that newcomers will enjoy. It’s up to Geralt to decide how to deal with this threat and everything else that gets in his way. Eventually, you find out that this group is called Salamandra and their motives are more complex in nature than you might think.
While trying to recover, the Wolf School is attacked by unknown assailants, stealing the mutagens and everything else they need to make their own Witchers. The original game follows Geralt of Rivia in an amnesiatic state as he attempts to get his bearings in the world. However, most new-gen upgrades don't feature quite as much content as CDPR is promising for The Witcher 3's arrival on current-gen systems.If you don’t want some SPOILERS for The Witcher - move along. Several game companies have put out similar updates for last-gen games that have added extra features and improved performance on newer hardware like the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The extra content is enough that one might consider the release a remaster of the beloved game rather than a free update.
More new quests, upgraded visuals, and several quality-of-life improvements will also be included in The Witcher 3 update. After the update releases, fans of the show will be able to more closely resemble Henry Cavill's interpretation of the stoic Witcher Geralt. There was a significant increase in Witcher 3 players after the Netflix show debuted, so it makes sense for CDPR to pay homage to the program. CDPR is also adding an alternate version of Dandelion's outfit that resembles Jaskier from Netflix's Witcher series.
After completing a brand-new quest, players can unlock the same armor Geralt wore in the show. As previously teased, The Witcher 3 update will add items from the Netflix series.
